Pelllegrini-Stieda lesion</p>
<p>
Ossified post-traumatic lesions at the MCL adjacent to the femoral attachment site of the medial femoral condyle.</p>
<p>
Mechanism is likely from an avulsion injury that subsequently calcifies after the initial trauma.</p>
<p>
Often an incidental finding on plain films.</p>
<p>
If symptomatic, refer to ortho as an outpatient</p>
<p>
If not symptomatic, no treatment is indicated</p>
<p>
