        ·        Rare (2% of all carpal fractures)</p>
<p>
        ·        Mechanism usually direct blow from a stick sport (golf, hockey, baseball)</p>
<p>
        ·        Presents with hypothenar pain and pain with gripping activities</p>
<p>
        ·        Physical examination - local swelling and tenderness to palpation over hook of hamate</p>
<p>
        ·        Diagnostic test - Hook of hamate pull test</p>
