As noted previously, injuries cause substantial morbidity and mortality globally. How does it vary by age group?</p>
<p>
The following table shows that unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death for individuals 1-44 years of age. Even when they are not the leading cause of death, injuries cause substantial mortality in all age groups.</p>
