• A whole-body CT is not an excuse to skip your secondary survey or complete exam. • A single scan is unlikely to drastically increase cancer risk, but we haven’t had enough CT scan experience to really understand the long-term risks of radiation exposure. • No evidence that selective scanning decreases costs or saves time. However, there is no mortality benefit to performing a whole-body CT in all trauma patients
