A Little About Me

Diane has been a Rotary Exchange student in France and spent time living and working in Morocco and Peru in addition to backpacking in Asia and elsewhere in Latin America. She enjoys outdoor adventures, although in recent years these have consisted more of a weekend ski trip than hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Piccu. She has been in the Baltimore area for several years, and she and her husband enjoy board games, following Game of Thrones, and cooking together. She has recently taken up swing dancing and can occasionally be found trying to sneak some reading unrelated to medicine into her routine, most recently Thank You For Being Late by Thomas Friedman.

Research Interests

Research interests range from medical and public health to politics and other social science fields. She has published articles related to integrative and patient-centered care in the light of the ACA, work related to osteogenesis imperfecta and mycosis fungoides, and op-eds concerning the admission process for medical students and changes in the formatting of the MCAT. Most recently, she has been working with a colleague from graduate school on a few articles related to climate change and political implications.
