A Little About Me

Why did you choose UMEM?
Everyone loves teaching and is super friendly. Not to mention, you hear from nationally renowned EM physicians both on shift and every week at grand rounds. Baltimore also has lots of fun things to do when you are not working!

Most interesting former job?
Engineering. Not the most interesting womp womp. I actually went into medicine because I wanted something more exciting. However, I was a camp counselor volunteer for several summers in HS and had a blast!

Favorite movie(s):
All of the Dark Knight Series, Gladiator, Wedding Crashers.

Hobbies:
Living up to the EM stereotype, I really enjoy being outdoors. Anything from hiking, fishing, running, or playing sports. Baltimore has some great places to get some fresh air like Patterson Park in the city. There are also other fantastic places nearby such as Patapsco, Northern Central Railway Trail, Gunpowder Falls, and the BWI Annapolis trail.

Favorite Baltimore Restaurant:
Still exploring the city but I've really enjoyed a few places on Broadway in Fells Point. The Sandlot is a great place to get outside and see the harbor when the weather is nice. They also typically have food trucks there. Iron Rooster is another good one for breakfast post-night shift.

Residency/Hospital/State/National/etc committee involvement, and leadership positions held:
None at this time other than EMRA membership.
