Hey guys! My name is Seth Ball, and I am a born and bred Hoosier! Raised in Indianapolis, I started running at the age of 8, and like the great Forrest Gump, from that day on, if I was going somewhere, I was RUNNING! This took to me Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where, while studying Exercise Science and Spanish, I eventually realized my true calling in the field of medicine.
While in medical school (also at IU), I was torn as my paramedic dad exposed me to the wonderful world of Emergency Medicine, but working with and helping kids had always been a passion of mine (mainly because I'm basically a 7-year-old in a 27-year-old's body). On my first day of my third year Peds rotation a resident introduced himself as a combined EM/Peds resident, two weeks later I spent the afternoon in the Peds ED, and there was no turning back. I am so grateful to be able to train in the combined program with the incredible faculty, staff and residents that make the University of Maryland so successful!
In my free time, you can usually find me outside. I love running, hiking, biking, skiing, camping, photography, traveling, and I'm trying to learn how to sail! I am a wildly untalented guitarist and a novice cook, both of which I have high hopes of becoming close to average at. I've only lived here for a short time, but my co-interns and I have found Baltimore to be an amazing city with endless opportunities to get out and explore!
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions!
