I grew up a Military Brat, so I never really had a home until high school when my family settled in San Antonio, Tx. I decided to stay for college at UTSA where I double majored in Biology and Chemistry. I then pursued some research interests at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I earned my Masters of Science in Organic Chemistry. Soon after that, I decided to teach at a local college in San Antonio while in medical school.
While completing my away rotation here at UMaryland, I felt like I clicked with the faculty, but more importantly, with the residents. I felt they were a really big family, and I couldn't imagine a better place to train.
