Hey ya'll. I'm Indian, born in Silver Spring, MD, raised in eastern Tennessee, how's that for confused? I'm glad to be back in the mid-Atlantic and can't wait for the snow to start piling up.
I grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, so I love the outdoors. I love to camp and ski, and I've just picked up cycling and possibly sailing. Another odd hobby of mine is computers, I've always been comfortable behind the keyboard (except at the VA...yet). I played baseball before college and attended the University of Tennessee for college and medical school, Go Vols! I also love to travel, I've seen the Queen Mother in London, hiked in northern India and took a dip in the Ganges.
I've absolutely loved my time at the University of Maryland. Intern year was tough, but I've got a great class and residents/faculty that make it all worthwhile. We all like to have a good time, everyone is friendly, and everyone in the program (esp. the program director) will go to bat for you in a heartbeat. I live by the work hard/play harder creed, and the program here really fosters resident wellness. The educational resources are second to none.
Feel free to email me with any questions about the University of Maryland, Baltimore, or EM in general.
