Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Welcome! I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I spent four phenomenal years doing undergrad at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, before returning to my place of birth for Med School. I began my third year thinking I might want to do EM, then about half way through, after I had switched that preference to IM, a friend told me about this weird EM/IM thing that some places, most notably the University of Maryland, had. Being a masochist and feeling that 3 yrs of residency really wasn't enough, I felt this sounded like a great fit. I did an EM away rotation here in October of my fourth year, dazzled the staff with my knowledge of movie quotes, and the rest, as they say, is history. Feel free to contact me with questions about EM, IM, EM/IM, or really anything else you are delusional enough to think I might actually be able to speak intelligently about.
