Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Dr. Myers is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and one of the Associate Program Directors of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Maryland. He previously completed a clinical informatics fellowship as part of his chief year. Dr. Myers went on to work in community medicine for four years, where he was selected the 2020 Physician of the Year for his role in preparing his hospital for the pandemic. In his first year back in academics he was selected by the residents as the Outstanding Educator of the Year. As an insulin dependent diabetic, he holds a personal and academic interest in endocrine disorders. He also maintains his work in clinical informatics for the University of Maryland Medical System.
