Medical School:
SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Born and raised in NYC, I became interested in global health early on in high school after going on a medical mission trip to the mountain villages of Panama and seeing the universal need for health care. After college, I spent time in Yunnan, China participating in HIV/AIDS work and consequently received a Master's degree in Public Health from SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
I chose to pursue a combined EM/IM residency as I felt like it best prepared me to handle both acute and chronic issues in future international work.
