Why did you choose UMEM?
I chose UMEM because of the people. Faculty and residents alike have interest and expertise in such a wide range of subspecialty and niches within EM. But, perhaps more importantly they are truly supportive and invested in seeing each resident succeed during residency and as she builds her EM career. I also value the focus on education. Residency conferences, taught by nationally recognized speakers and educators, are a great way to augment bedside teaching which happens on shift with a super diverse and medically complex patient population. I plan to work in academic EM and learning to be an educator from some of the best is not so bad either!

Hobbies:
Traveling the world, especially to trek and climb; Reading divergently, from economics to historical fiction; Playing in the mountains, especially trail running and skiing; Searching for the best cappuccino and gelato, although I must admit I like almost all of them.

Favorite Baltimore Restaurant:
There are so many, but Broadway Market is great for variety and fun outdoor space! There is everything from Thai to ice cream to crabcakes and perogies, all of which are delicious!

Residency/Hospital/State/National/etc committee involvement, and leadership positions held:
ACEP International Section Resident Representative to Uganda; ACEP International Section Ambassador Mentorship Program Resident Co-director; ACEP International Section Ambassador Conference committee member; Global Emergency Care Director of Community and Continuing Education
