Welcome! I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I spent four phenomenal years doing undergrad at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, before returning to my place of birth for Med School. I began my third year thinking I might want to do EM, then about half way through, after I had switched that preference to IM, a friend told me about this weird EM/IM thing that some places, most notably the University of Maryland, had. Being a masochist and feeling that 3 yrs of residency really wasn't enough, I felt this sounded like a great fit. I did an EM away rotation here in October of my fourth year, dazzled the staff with my knowledge of movie quotes, and the rest, as they say, is history.
