Objectives

(1) Recognize the role of hospital staff in preventing the development and spread of C Diff infection, (2) Review the necessary (and unnecessary) diagnostics for C Diff, (3) Understand treatment options for patients with C. Diff, and (4) Gauge the risk of C Diff infection based on certain clinical scenarios common in ED patients.
