Sepsis, Fluids, and ESRD -ESRD patients are at increased risk of sepsis and bacteremia secondary to indwelling devices -Many of are hesitant to aggresively fluid resuscitate patients with ESRD -Several studies have concluded that volume resuscitation should proceed the same as patients without ESRD, even if that means more patients are eventually intubated.
